After a few years, the Italian Virtuosi Orchestra (I Virtuosi Italiani) from Verona is returning to the Kulturni dom Nova Gorica. On the Italian music scene, the ensemble, in which some of the best string players of the esteemed Italian orchestras have been performing for more than twenty years, is renowned for its excellent and innovative programmes that draw from all periods, from Baroque to contemporary composers, even popular artists. The orchestra regularly performs at major concert halls in Italy and abroad. Internationally renowned soloists and conductors like to work with it, as its performances are always warmly welcomed both by audiences and by critics, who place it to the very top of Italian orchestral ensembles due to its stylistic perfection and lively, confident playing.
The concert in Nova Gorica will be enriched by the guest appearance of Stefan Milenković, a world-famous violinist, who became famous already as a boy. At just 37 years of age, he can boast of a brilliant career in which he has cooperated with the most renowned orchestras and conductors, furthermore, he has enriched his wide musical range also with performances in pop-rock music. In addition to the busy agenda on stage, he also works as a teacher, among other things, he has taught at the famous Julliard School.
