Črtomir Šiškovič, violin
The Chamber String Orchestra of the Slovenian Philharmonic is composed of a selection of the best musicians of the Slovenian Philharmonic. In nineteen years of activity, the Orchestra has given over 400 concerts in Slovenia and abroad. Their programme includes compositions of all periods. They are giving special attention to Slovenian authors, including the emerging ones. Such a commitment is a proof of the high quality and the important role of the Chamber String Orchestra of the Slovenian Philharmonic on the Slovenian and European music scene. Over the past few years the Orchestra has been increasingly cooperating with similar organisations by planning and creating joint projects. The Orchestra has received an array of important Slovenian awards. They have performed in Nova Gorica on numerous occasions. This time, they are going to play together with Črtomir Šiškovič, an exquisite violinist from Trieste, who has perfected his musical skills in Germany, USA, Austria and Switzerland. He boasts a rich international career both as chamber player together with excellent musicians and as a soloist accompanied by fine orchestras and led by fine conductors.
