The Nova Gorica Arts Centre is also playing faithful host to the RTV Slovenia Symphonic Orchestra in the forthcoming season. For more than half a century, the Orchestra has paid special attention to giving excellent performances of music pieces for the needs of the Slovenia Radio. In the meantime, through performances under the conductor’s baton of renowned Slovene and foreign conductors, it has achieved artistic maturity and has become an indispensable part of the Slovene music life. The second concert of the programme will also be marked by Littoral musicians. As a conductor, maestro Marko Munih will be introduced by conducting the orchestra which will play a novelty Three Slovene folk songs for chamber orchestra by renowned composer Ambrož Čopi. Pianist Danijel Brecelj, who studies piano at the State Conservatory of Music in Paris, will perform a powerful Concert for piano and orchestra by Sergei Prokofjev.
