Velika dvorana Nova Gorica Cultural Centre
The Nova Gorica Cultural Centre traditionally includes a piano concert in its season ticket program. This year, the Nova Gorica public will be introduced to Denys Masliuk, Ukrainian pianist, and piano professor at the Koper Arts High School. Masliuk, an extraordinarily gifted pianist, drew attention in his early youth. He completed his studies in Belorussia and went on to do advanced studies in Berlin. He has received several awards. During his studies in Germany, he performed in the main concert halls where he earned the reputation of an exceptionally talented young pianist with “… iron technique, strong individuality, and an extraordinary sense of interpretation…” Two years ago, he won two first prizes in competitions in Italy and the doors to numerous concert halls opened in neighbouring countries. Since 2004, when he moved to Slovenia, he has received excellent reviews in this country as well.
